Business response:
Price is soon forgotten, QUALITY IS LONG REMEMBERED !!!
The company was responsive to a request call and a person showed up promptly. He was honest in his assessment, told me that he could seal the leaking skylights, clean the skylights and fill some holes that used to hold screws. He also told me that that small job might be insufficient and that a new roof might be necessary, if leaks continue. We then agreed on the cost of the job. Another person came to do the job. He did not clean the skylights and supposingly did the whole job in about 20minutes. I called and was promised t... read more
I have a call in to them I have not heard back as of 1-7-12

Business response:
As of 1/13/2012 we have responded to this homeowners concerns and believe he is now completely satisfied.
I have nothing to report because I never received a proposal -estimate. May he considered the job too small and if so - should have said that - that they weren't interested
Business response:
The estimate was for after 4:30. The estimator arrived by 5:30 which is reasonable given we give three hour windows for estimates. We do appoligize for the tardiness on sending out the estimate. We did find that it was sent to the wrong E-Mail address. That is no excuse as a follow up phone call would have resolved that error. We are using this as a learning experience which we have reviewed with all our estimators at our last staff meeting. We hope the member will reconsider using C&C in the future.
$1200 later and now winter when it couldn't be worked on, the leak was showing up again. When I called them they said the problem was with the chimney and it needed pointing but they didn't do that, I would have to find someone else who repaired chimneys. I did and was told that the bricks were so porous that they were holding water and soaking through the plaster. It was suggested that I stucco over the bricks (another $1500) and that would solve the problem and after years of spending money on a recurring problem, I now no... read more
The estimate was from one to four. I called him back and asked if I could I make earlier appointment. He stated he would be out about two o’clock. He then called the day of the important and stated he could not make and showed up at a quarter to four. He used a tape measure to measure the house roof and garage roof. He gave a price and he wanted 1/3 of the money up front. He couldn’t tell me how long it would take to complete. There is no mention of the barrier in the estimate.
Business response:
I am confused by the homeowners problem. The estimate window was 1to4. I gave him a courtesy call earlier in the day and told him it would be closer 4. I arrived at 3:45 within the 1 to 4 window. The estimate was for a new main roof and garage roof. The garage butted up to the neighbors property. I informed the Member we would need access to the neighbors property in order to access the roof and protect the neighbors shrubs from roof debris during tearoff. He seemed angered by that, and said if I needed access that was to ba... read more
Bad experience.
Business response:
Sounds like a communication problem between homeowner and C&C. To say we have terrible business practices is rather unfair given we didn"t consumate any business with this homeowner. We make every effort to keep our appointments within the three hour window alloted, but as each homeowners needs are different, in addition to traffic and weather varibles sometimes we run late, very rarerly do we have to reschedule and our estimators make every effort to contact the homeowner if a variation of the original time needs adjustment... read more
C&C responded quickly to the request to replace the roof "above the sunroom" and gave a good estimate and I was very satisfied. Then, the roof began to leak. They came out and found that they had missed some flashing (I think that's the term) that went over a hole at the end of the roof. They replaced it. And directed me to the small print at the bottom of the contract signed that said they are not responsible for any leak in the home as a result of their work. WOW. Also, at this time, I found that they only replaced 3 or so... read more
