$275 (before $35 Angie's List coupon) for 20 minutes of work and no materials. When I inquired about the price for 20 minutes of work, I was told that that was flat fee pricing. Would not hire again.
Shaun told me since I have a Delta fixture I have a lifetime warranty for parts. He suggested I call Delta and have them send me the parts and then call back when I get them and they will install them. He saved me money already.
Sadly cannot comment on plumbing work since the service tech never showed up. Called in and booking agent remembered my call but forgot to put me on the schedule. Asked them to schedule an emergency call since I took the day off and it was their error but they declined.
Frank from Goodman Plumbing was persistent and found that the dishwasher valve was leaking and showed me where it was leaking. He replaced the valve and soldered it to another peice so that it wouldn't be likely to leak in the future. He explained everything and was kind enough to show me the main lever that shuts off the water in my house and also the lever that shuts off the water sprinklers, which I didn't know.
Among the bad experiences I have had with contractors, what happened with Goodman Plumbers is in a category of its own as being an act of pure evil. The customer had scheduled an appointment for various problems. We arrived on time, looked at the issues and gave a free detailed estimate. It was to install a new toilet or repair the old one. Did not try to find the cause of the problem and came up with a very expensive repair ($3600) proposal which was not needed. The pipe was cleared with a snake and cost $150.

I called because I had used their services before for my home without issue. This time however, I called for a toilet leak for my investment property. They called minutes before they arrived to state there was a fee for coming out of $85. That was fine as I planned to have them do the work anyway, but when I was quoted $450 to replace the flange, I started having doubts as that seemed high to replace a $25 part. We have since scheduled and returned to the rental property and did part of the repairs needed. After we lifted the toilet and we checked the condition of the flange and the broken tiles. We spoke with the homeowner and explained that the flange and the part of toilet waste should be replaced when she is ready to replace the portion of floor and floor tiles. We resealed the toilet as best as possible. We have left several messages with the homeowner to discuss the issues and have not received any response from the homeowner.
